Top 10 Countries I Want To Visit

Updated on April 20, 2018

Here you will find a list of my top 10 countries that i want to visit list. Enjoy the trip with me while I explain why I want to visit each countries on the top 10 list . Plus enjoy the great videos and pictures of those places that are all beautiful countries.

My Top 10 Countries To Visit List

Why a top 10

First of all I need to say that this page is made for YOU ... the world. I already know what are the top 10 countries that I want to visit, but I did this lens in order to share them with you. This lens took me a lot of time to complete as I had to choose every element that went in it, this way I hope that I can transmit to you a little bit of my passion for traveling (even though I never really traveled before, but it's coming as stated in my other DAWProject pages)

Oh and by the way... I haven't been to any of those places, those are countries that I want to visit after all. Hope I can make you discover some great countries and if you're just curious... well enjoy the tour.

10) Italy

Top 10 Countries To Visit

Now I must start by saying that I love history and especially ancient history I have to say that first because it's going to come back a few times in my texts. So out of all the countries in the world the number 10 in my top 10 countries I want to visit the most is Italy. Why Italy, well the first reason is basically the first sentence of this text because I love ancient history and Italy is a big part of that history with the roman empire. Italy is also a big part of the Christian history, of course we all know that the pope is living in the Vatican, which is a state situated in Rome. Lets not forget about all the vestige left there like Pompeii, the Coliseum or the Paestum. The sole historic weight of this country makes it wroth the visit for anybody who wants to learn anything about mankind's history or see some historic places.

But Italy is not only a country full of old places to visit. Quite far from that, Italy also has some of the most wonderful scenery you can imagine. Whether you're in Sicily, Naples or Milan you will enjoy beautiful sight. It might be a little village full of charming people, the extraordinary view of the Mediterranean sea or the magnificent city of Venice you will surly find something to feed your camera with. And then of course there's all the different monuments that tourist enjoy and that you can visit, like the Tower of Pisa

There's other stuff that makes me want to go to Italy too and one of them is, well I might sound a little macho here, but it's women. Some of the most beautiful women I've seen were Italian and being a man I can't help, but take that into the equation. As for the lady don't worry I'm sure there's some handsome Italian man waiting for you there too. One thing that could be a let down though is the food, while I do love pizza or spaghetti I always got the conception (and I might be wrong) that Italian food is full of cheese, that they put cheese on everything. To tell you the truth except in pizza I'm not very fond of cheese, in fact I almost hate it. But I do like trying all kinds of different stuff so we'll see when I get there.

In conclusion I can say that this country is on my list mainly for its historical appeal and also for the fantastic places I could see if I ever went to Italy.

9) Canada - Top 10 Countries To Visit

is actually my country, not the one I was born in, but the one I was raised in. So why would I want to visit a place that I can see every day you ask. Well because I haven't of course. Canada is the second biggest country in the world after Russia so of course I haven't seen all of it. As a matter of fact I barely saw any of it. You can't really go out and see the world without first looking at what's in you're backyard or you might miss on some great things. I currently live in Montreal and the only other places that I went to in Canada are Quebec City and Trois-Rivère they were both beautiful cities, but it's only a fraction of what the country has to offer.

And what does it have to offer, well some of the most beautiful natural scenery you can find. I'm quite a big nature lover, I love nature and all the things that compose it, it's almost a fascination for me. So Canada is the perfect country for me to enjoy it at its best. That's because even though it's huge, Canada doesn't have that many people living in it so most places are left untouched or barely modified by human. Nature is all over Canada with the north being almost a no men's land, the wonderful maritime provinces, forest all over the country and let's not forget about the Rockies, one of the most beautiful thing there is to see in the whole country.

Canada is not only a place of nature. We have some great cities in there too and I want to visit most of them. Quebec with its historic feel will surely grab your heart and make you travel back in time. Montreal is also one of my favorite cities, once summer is there the festival mania takes Montreal and you can find things too do everywhere, whatever you're hobbies might be. Of course we got the capital Ottawa and the city of Toronto which are also places you must visit. The one I want to see the most is the city host of the 2010 Olympics, Vancouver. This city just fascinate me. There's also a lot of less industrialized city or village with a lot of charm that can be worth going to.

These are all reasons why I've put Canada on number 9 of my top 10 countries I want to visit and also reasons for me to want to explore this country that has been mine for almost 20 years. And only once I've seen Canada from coast to coast will I leave for the world.

8) Greece

Top 10 Countries To Visit

I believe I said earlier that I was fond of all things historical. Well then Greece is the perfect country for me to visit historic places left by the humans of the past. As one of the first civilization, ancient Greek left us tones of things to enjoy for anyone who thinks about traveling to this country. The home of democracy, of philosophy, of the Olympic and of many other things is filled with ruins from the past and with temple dedicated to the Gods who were said to live up in mount Olympus. As a matter of fact the Olympus itself is a perfect visiting spot and its view alone will surely leave me speechless. The Holy Trinity Monastery situated on the top of a mountain is also a must for anyone whether you are Christian or not.

Buildings from the past are not the only things you can enjoy in Greece. Great construction like the Rio-Antirio Bridge or The Hellenic Parliament will leave you more surprised than you could imagine. One of the things I'm the most interested in when I think about going to Greece is seeing all those little cities or villages. Often found by the shore places like Fira or Syoros are spots that I really want to see and be able to enjoy their unique architecture. The fact that most of those cities are by the Mediterranean sea makes me even more exited. There is also a lot of Island in Greece and exploring them will surely be a pleasure for me as I like those kinds of trips.

Mixing nature with cities and past with present, Greece is really a place that I wanted to explore since I was a little boy and I heard stories about the ancient Greek that used to live there. Greek mythology is one of my favorite subject and to see the places that are mentioned in all of those myth with my own eye will surely bring me a lot of joy. These are all reasons why I decided to put this European country at the number 8 of my top 10 countries to visit list. Hope I was able to pass to you my interest for Greece and if you are not convinced yet than watch the video and the pictures that I've put below, maybe this will get you in the Greece boat.

7) Peru

Top 10 Countries To Visit

Peru, the home of the Inca, what make me want to visit this place so much. Well I don't really know, it's like I just want to go there. Most obvious reason would be because, well I've never been there so why not go. Another reason that would makes me want to go to Peru is the fact that it's the land of the now lost Inca civilization. This great empire played an important role in the history of America and even have recuperation today. We all know the story of how they were wiped out, but we at least got one thing to remember them by. That's their magnificent construction, they build places and cities that we could never have imagined even in our wildest dream. Being a history fan it is my duty to go see those sites with my own eye and experience everything this lost empire has to offer. One of the most known place that I want to observe is of course the Machu Picchu, the city in the sky (it's not really in the sky, but at the top of a mountain) one of the seven new wonders of the world and a must see site for everybody who likes to travel.

The Inca are not the only people who lived in Peru and now the country is full of interesting people living in both the city and the country. Tons of wonderful people with unique ways of doing things and of living fill this place and it would be a great experience for me to meet them and be able to see how they live. The city of Lima also seems like a fascinating place to visit even though I don't really know much about it, but that's the goal of this whole trip thing isn't it, to visit new places that you didn't know before.

A nature lover like me can't forget that Peru is also connected to the Amazon and to the Andes, both of those might be dangerous, but if I ever went to Peru than not to go and explore them would be a sacrilege. Well thinking about it now, there really is a lot of reason for me to want to go to Peru and I'm sure I haven't even scratched the surface of what there is to do in this country, which is why I'm putting it at number 7 of my list.

6) Spain - Top 10 Countries To Visit

You know, I've been dreaming about going to Spain for a long time now, but it's only while I was doing this page and uploading pictures of the country that I realized just how beautiful the place really was. I've seen the country countless time in movies and TV shows, but some of the pictures I've found just made my jaw drop. The main goal of that page was to share with everybody my love or interest for those countries, but in that precise case the page served another purpose, which is getting me even more exited about a possible future trip to Spain.

Some of the photos I'm talking about represent castle. I discovered that Spain is a country full of castles and magnificent one too. Places like Alhambra or Segovia that just scream that they want me to visit them. Cathedral are also a great sight in Spain, like Sagrada for example. To add to the pleasure of sight seeing castle and other monument, Spain also has great cities to offer like Barcelona or it's capital, Madrid.

One other reason why I wanted to go to Spain was the beach. I always had this idea that beaches in Spain were some of the best I could find. And of course, being a man, I expect to see some of the most beautiful girls on those same beaches, if I trust all the videos and movies about Spain I've seen so far, then I won't be disappointed with what awaits me on those beaches. Not only that, but I'm sure I will find lots of other interesting things to do in Spain, like seeing those toreador show, or even watching the running bull event (well this one I'm really not sure about it, we'll see in due time, it is kind of dangerous after all) Anyway, these are all activities that I wish I will be able to do once I get there.

You now know what makes me want to go to Spain so much and if you feel like going too now, then we never know we might even meet there, explore the place together and enjoy the number 6 of the top 10 countries that I want to visit.

5) Brazil - Top 10 Countries To Visit

Brazil is now one of the most popular country of South America and of course there is a reason for that. After all, we now enter the top 5 of my list so those are all countries that I must visit. What's strange is that most of the reason that makes me want to go to Brazil are the same as the reasons why I want to go to Spain.

I'm talking about stuff that I mentioned before in the Spain part like the cathedral, just looking at the pictures I've put below you will see that Brazil has some of the most original cathedral you can find. That's not the only thing that link my love to this place with my love to Spain, there's also the beaches. Yes beaches again, what do you want me to tell you, I love swimming after all. I've seen images of beautiful beaches in Brazil, especially in Rio and I absolutely want to visit them.

If the reasons I have are the same in the two countries than why didn't I put Spain in fifth place. It's because for me Brazil has things to offer that fit my criteria even more. First, I absolutely want to visit the city of Rio and of course I want to see it during the carnival too. This world known event hunt my mind and I would be crazy to miss it while I'm in the city. But carnival or not Rio is a place that I want to see. Brasilia seems pretty unique too so I can't miss on that.

More than just cities there is also nature in Brazil, like Peru, Brazil is linked to the Amazonian Rainforest a place that I hear a lot about and that I really want to see with my own eyes and experience all its diversity and beauty.

Lets not forget about the well-known Christ the Redeemer, that giant Jesus status that is now one of the seven new wonders of the world. Now you know why I want to visit this nation of soccer fans and why I've made it my fifth pick of this top 10 list.

4) India

Top 10 Countries To Visit

A country of more than a billion people, India alone has 1/6 of the planet living in its territory. The sight of all these people alone is enough to make me want to go there. Just look at my train picture below and you will automatically see what I mean by that. But more than just full of people, India is a world of its own. You will experience the colorful Bollywood cinema, the huge number of interesting people living in there, the different landscape and of course the architectural beauty of the country.

When I talk about architectural beauty I'm of course referring to site like the Taj Mahal, which is one of the seven new wonders of the world. Let's not forget about the Taj Mahal hotel either, which is a beautiful place to stay at. Also in India are a little less known places like the Swaminarayan Akshardham or the Kapaleeshwarar temple that are as beautiful as the popular buildings. In India you will also find a lot of religious places that are very interesting to visit. Let's not forget that India is one of the most diversify country in term of religion. So brace yourself and enjoy temple from the past and from the present.

I also want to see the Ganges even if I'm not sure if I want to swim in it or not. The Indian peacock seems like an interesting animal to admire too. The cities of India are things that I want to visit as well. Mumbai being the one I want to see the most.

Those were the reasons why I want to go to India and why I've put it at the number 4 of this list. Now all that is left to figure out is the how will I get there.

3) France

Top 10 Countries To Visit

France et oui, c'est belle et bien le troisième pays dans ma liste. That was French, for those who didn't understand I'm going to let you all have fun of translating it yourself, it's nothing complicated. But yeah I can speak French. The main reason for that is that I'm from Quebec and people from this province talk French, while the rest of Canada talks English. Being from the region of Montreal I had to learn English too because in Montreal people talk both languages. Why does Quebec talk in French you ask, well because it was originally founded by the French and they lost it to England many years later, but while the rest of the country took the English way of doing things, here in Quebec we kept the French custom and language and we still have them to this day.

So for all my younger days I've been though the history of the province and kept hearing about this country called France. Of course I would want to visit that place that I heard so much about all my life and for me whenever I talk about things that I want to do I always say '' I've got to see the Eiffel Tower'' like if not seeing this monument would mean failing at what I want to do most in my life, which is traveling. These things had a lot of influenced on me when I was making this list and choosing my top 3.

Of course just like the other pick on this page, I have places that I really want to see and things I really want to experience in France. Like in Spain, lots of castle in France that I want to see. The Palace of Versailles is the one I want to go to the most. Lets not forget about great monument like the cathedral Notre Dame De Paris and l'Arc de Triomphe. The Louvre museum is also a must see whether you're an art lover or not. I also wish to visit the Normandy beaches where the allied force arrived during WWII just for historical purpose.

All of this is just a little part of what France has to offer and I intend to discover every worthy spot of my number 3 pick.

2) Egypt - Top 10 Countries To Visit

We are now at the number 2 of this list. Brace yourself number one is just one step away. But before that let's talk about the country who made it to second place. Well before I start I have to say that I'm writing this while Egypt is currently living a very difficult situation, I won't get into the details because it's all over the new and we all know what's happening, I just wanted to say that I hope that everything gets cleared without much casualties.

Now that we got this out of the bag let's talk about why Egypt made it that far into the list. As I stated before I'm a big history fan and Egypt has, for me, the most interesting history that you can find. Being one of the oldest civilization, Egypt has lived through time and the people there left us with some of the most wonderful things we can find on this planet. I'm of course talking about monument such as the Pyramid of Giza (the only wonder of the ancient world left), the Sphinx or the Abu Simbel Temple and lots of other Egyptians temples that survived the passage of time. There is also more recent stuff like the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, the Suez Canal with its Suez Canal Bridge or the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. I've put pictures of all those locations so you can all enjoy their beauty if you're not there.

Even though it may sound crazy I also want to experience the desert and if I ever get to Egypt, then I will use this opportunity to discover what it is.

Visiting the cities of Cairo and Alexandrina are must too. More than that another thing that I really wish to see is the Neil, if possible I would even like to get in it. The main reason for me to want to go there is that going to Egypt is just a dream for me and that's why I've put it at the number two of this top ten. For more stuff about the country don't forget to check out the video.

1) Japan

Top 10 Countries To Visit

# 1 Finlay, we're here people, the pole position, the number one that you have all been waiting for all this time, THE country that I want to visit the most and guess what, it's Japan. Why Japan, well there are a lot of reasons for that and I'm getting there.

First of all for those who know me or have checked out some of my other lens you will see that most of them are related to anime or manga. Yes I'm a big fan of those things and they're what made me discover this country that is called Japan. At the beginning I was just reading and watching them because it was interesting and after a while I came to ask myself one question. Are the things that I see in these manga and anime real, do people in Japan really act like that, do those places exist for real. This idea soon became an obsession and I started watching videos of the real Japan to see what it was like and what I discovered was stunning. While most of the things in anime or manga are false, sometime they're based on real places, cities and customs. Watching those videos I saw a whole new world that I didn't know about and another idea was born in my head, I have to go to Japan and see this with my own eyes. This though grew larger every day and now Japan is the country I want to visit the most in the world.

For me Japan is the country of opposites and paradox. A place that mixes the future and high tech stuff with the past and tradition. Robot and Geisha, big cities and miles of nature, truly an interesting place to visit for me who is a fan of both extreme as I love cities and the downtown atmosphere and I also enjoy the calm and peace you find in nature.

A lot of place to see and things to experience. Huge cities of course like Tokyo or Kyoto that are lifetime experience by themselves and when we think of Japan we think of those big places with so many people that you can't even walk straight, but an important part of Japan is also situated in the middle of nature and this has to be seen too. I want to visit classic tourist spot too like the Himeji Castle, the Mt Fuji, the Itsukushima Shrine or the Tokyo Tower, yeah Japan has its own Eiffel Tower. I also want to get into one of those fast trains that are said to break speed record and enjoy the sight of the cherry blossom in spring (I've seen them so much time in anime it's about time I experience it for real).

I could go on like this for hours telling you about places and things I want to discover in Japan, if you want to see and hear more than check the photos and the video that I've chosen for you. Having so much expectation I might get disappointed when I see the real thing, but it doesn't matter, I want to go anyway. As a matter of fact I'm obsess with going there so much that I'm currently learning Japanese. So now you understand why I've put Japan at the top spot of my top 10 countries I want to visit list.
